Upcycling Skillshare: Furoshiki bags

Upcycling Skillshare: Furoshiki bags

Event Information

Join us for a Fife Climate Festival creative workshop to make Furoshiki – an old Japanese method of folding and knotting fabric – bags from upcycled fabric. Originally these bags were used to transport food and small goods, like today’s shopping bags.

We will be using repurposed fabrics from our second-hand sop StAndReuse, like colourful and patterned bedlinen, t-shirts and curtains.

This is a drop-in session with limited places so please register for this event. Recommended age 8+ (although children can only attend until 19:00 due to venue age restrictions). No sewing skills required!

We are charging £5 for adults, £3 for a child. The skillsharer is a local artist and entrepreneur whom we’re keen to support.
