Successful Vegetable Growing course
Event Information
A short practical course focussing on the delicious vegetables that can be grown successfully in Fife, whether you have plenty of garden space, or simply some flower pots and a doorstep. We shall look at improving soil fertility, the making of compost, and “Growing under Cover”, both to grow tender crops and to extend the vegetable growing season. Vegetable growing in general is included, and this year we shall look in detail at the growing of tomatoes, garlic, Brussels sprouts, peas, and beetroot.
Each spring, we host St Andrews Open Learning‘s Successful Vegetable Growing course – focusing on the delicious vegetables which can be grown successfully in Fife, whether you have plenty of garden space or simply some flower pots. This year’s course will run for 6 weeks from Thursday 24th April - 29th May 2025.
