Junk Kouture exhibition – Redressing fashion, without costing the earth

Junk Kouture exhibition – Redressing fashion, without costing the earth

Event Information

As part of Fife Climate Festival, we will have a display from our Junk Kouture fashion competition at Nourish Community Hub, within the Mercat in Kirkcaldy. The entries will be displayed for the public to see. This will be an open display, and will simply showcase the entries and give people some fun ideas about fashion, and how they can upcycle and repurpose.

What is the Junk Kouture fashion competition?

We are currently running a fashion competition ahead of our AGM, which is on the 19th September. It is entitled Junk Kouture, and it allows young people to re-dress fashion, creating their own sustainable fashion designs that don't cost the Earth. The winning entries will have the chance to show off their designs on the red carpet at our AGM and afterwards the entries will be displayed at the Nourish Community Hub.

Accessibility Information

The venue is wheelchair accessible and there is accessible parking available for the Mercat Shopping Centre.

You can find out more about accessibility at the Mercat on their website.
