Introduction to Cargo Bikes

Introduction to Cargo Bikes

Event Information

Join Cycling Scotland Instructor Allan Dunlop and Heather Anderson from Transition University of St Andrews for a full introduction to cargo bikes. This session is to celebrate climate-friendly travel as part of the Fife Climate Festival.

At this session, you will be able to try the many different cargo and adapted cycles we have at Transition in a safe space away from traffic. This will be a fun but informative session looking at useful ways cargo bikes can be integrated into our everyday lives – helping to cut carbon one journey at a time. We will practice some essential cycling skills and talk about road safety.

You do not need any experience of cargo bikes to attend this session however you should be able to ride a bike confidently.
If skill and enthusiasm allow we can take them for a wee spin on the quiet streets of St Andrews at the end of the session.

Bring a helmet if you can however we will have spares available. Also please bring wet weather gear as you never know!

This is a FREE event however spaces will be limited.

Please book through the Transition University of St Andrews Website
