How to have zero waste in a community cafe

Join us for a morning coffee or tea and a small networking opportunity to celebrate World Tourism Day on Friday, September 27th. Part of Fife Climate Festival
Learn about EATS Rosyth's journey to reduce their food waste and, through that, their carbon emissions, based on their experience running a community kitchen, larder, and cafe.
El Spanggaard, Sustainable Tourism Officer with Welcome to Fife, will give an overview of the Glasgow food and climate declaration, which Fife signed up to earlier this year.
Gerry Boyle from Zero Waste Scotland will talk us through Zero Waste Scotland's one month food challenge.
Louise Oliver from Climate Friendly Businesses will talk about the support and advice available to community groups and businesses to reduce their food waste with EATS Rosyth as an example.
Morven Summers of EATS Rosyth, will talk over her and her team's experience and learnings from taking part in the challenge and explain where they are on their zero food waste journey now.
There will be cake, tea and coffee. You can also take a look around the pantry afterwards.

This event is free but booking is required. Donations are welcome to support the work Greener Kirkcaldy does in the community.
