Event Information

Fife Climate Hub in collaboration with Love and Harmony presents “Workers Cup”, a documentary story of migrant workers in Qatar.

Brief story: Around 24 construction companies involved in the success of 2022 FIFA World Cup were asked to select football teams to compete in Workers Cup, part of the World Cup. The film unfolds a story of a handful of players on a competing team, their hard lives as migrant workers in dire living conditions of the Umm Salal Camp and the effect that sport participation has on their ambition, aspiration and masculinity. The film explores power of sport to unite society and bring hope and empower people lives.

The Hive is fully accessible by wheelchair users.

Travel and accessibility:

The venue is wheelchair friendly and there is accessible parking nearby. 

The Hive community centre is situated in the centre of Kirkcaldy.

The venue can be accessed via public transport, as it is only 5 minutes walk from Kirkcaldy Bus Station and 10 minutes from Kirkcaldy Railway Station. There is X58 service from Edinburgh to Kirkcaldy.

By Car it can be reached by A921 along the coast of Firth of Forth from the south or A92 from the north. There is very limited street parking on Whytescauseway, more ample parking can be found at the shore car park.
