Climate Friendly Gardens – Winter Fruit Tree Pruning Workshop

This event is will be hosted by PLANT in Tayport

This workshop will be led by Andrew Lear, Appletreeman. Andrew is a highly experienced fruit tree expert with wide ranging expertise. He puts 40 years of horticultural knowledge into practice by teaching and advising orchard groups and owners throughout Scotland, and propagating heritage varieties of fruit.

This workshop will take place in the Community Garden and at the Fruit Tree Walk in Tayport.

This event is suitable for beginners. This event will be mostly outdoors with some shelter in a polytunnel at the Community Garden. Please wear suitable outdoor clothing for the weather.

Strong gardening gloves are recommended. Equipment will be provided but bring your own secateurs and loppers if you have them.

Please bring a packed lunch which we can eat indoors at the Larick Centre.

Coffee/tea and snacks are included in the workshop.

Accessibility

There are disabled parking spaces at the end of Pond Lane.

The Community Garden is wheelchair accessible. There are steep grassy slopes at the Fruit Tree Walk.
