Apple Fun Day
Event Information
Newburgh Orchard Group are celebrating 20 years since the first tree was planted in our community orchard. We now have 85 trees, managed by volunteers and run annual pruning sessions and a juicing and information exchange with our local school.
We have old photos of the opening in 2004 and hope to exhibit these, as well as a map of our town fruit trees made in 2003/4
We will be selling apples and juicing. people can bring fruit to juice, and take the juice home as long as they also bring sterilised containers or bottles.
There will be room for discussion about what we do and a chance to look at the orchard before you have a cup of tea and sample some baking using our harvest. there will also be some stalls and a display of apples with a possible quiz at the end.
