Greener Kirkcaldy is a community-led charity working locally to bring people together, take positive action on the climate emergency and support people through fuel poverty and food insecurity. We deliver a range of projects, events and skills training to achieve the needs and goals of local people – building resilience as a community and working towards a future where everyone can live better and tread more lightly on our planet. Based in the heart of Kirkcaldy – with a community building, training kitchen, bike shop and garden – we carry out activities across Kirkcaldy and work with partners to deliver projects across Fife.

CLEAR Buckhaven & Methil stands for Community-Led Environmental Action for Regeneration. Operating for over a decade in the most deprived communities in Fife, CLEAR is run by local residents committed to enabling regeneration through a range of environmental action. Working with local schools, groups and individual volunteers, CLEAR runs two vibrant community gardens, a community workshop and Hub, leads a range of recycling and local food initiatives and enhances public greenspaces and paths. CLEAR works with others to transform a neglected area into a brighter, sustainable community.

EATS Rosyth is a trading name of Rosyth Community Projects Ltd. EATS (Edible and Tasty Spaces) is a community led charity that grows and shares food, reduces waste, helps the environment and improves food education. EATS runs activities in a community hub, community garden and orchard to encourage people to get involved in making the town a better place to live. In June 2022, EATS opened the doors to the new premises for the Rosyth Community Hub

FCCT is an independent environmental charity committed to ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to experience Fife’s great outdoors. It manages many sites and paths throughout the Fife. Environmental conservation, outdoor access and recreation, and environmental education are the three pillars within its Communities and Engagement team. FCCT support groups of volunteers at its sites, supports local community groups and Fife wide groups such as the Fife Street Champions who collect rubbish across Fife.

Fife College is our further and higher education college. It offers inspirational learning experiences from essential skills to degree programmes. The College has 6,000 full-time and 14,000 part-time students, and operates out of five campuses across Fife. The College provides a dynamic, relevant portfolio of courses that encourages collaboration with local communities. The College Regional Outcome Agreement has six priorities, the first of which, Priority 1, is to maintain a sustainable college that includes using the resources available effectively for the benefit of Fife and the wider community.

Fife Communities CAN is the network of community-led organisations across the region who are taking action on climate change, or who are interested in getting involved in climate action. The network shares information and resources, organises networking meetings, catalyses joint projects, and acts as a shared voice for the sector.

Fife Council is the third largest local authority in Scotland by population and is responsible for a wide range of activities and duties. Fife Council declared a climate emergency in September 2019, making a public commitment to a target of net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2045 at the latest. It is dedicated to a Fife that is fair, has less of an impact on the climate and is resilient to the climate changes that are predicted

Ore Valley Housing Association is a Registered Social Landlord based in Cardenden with around 750 properties located throughout Fife. Our mission is working to provide good quality homes and support local communities through a variety of climate friendly projects including active and sustainable travel.

People Learning About Nature in Tayport (PLANT) is a subgroup of Tayport Community Trust. Its focus is Tayport Community Garden. Since 2015, PLANT has been working on projects bringing people together to grow food and flowers, while reducing carbon emissions and enhancing Tayport’s natural environment.

StAndEN is a charity aiming to reduce CO2 emissions and cut household fuel bills in its local area. It runs a range of projects including a town-centre community garden, a re-use project and Plastic Free St Andrews. It is a partner in Cosy Kingdom and has an energy team who provide energy and debt advice service to tenants and homeowners.

Transition University of St Andrews (Transition UStA) has been a hub for sustainability across St Andrews since 2009. It aims to create a more climate resilient St Andrews and support people in their journeys to low-carbon living. Projects span the themes of smarter travel, sharing, repair & reuse, local food, and action on greenspaces & wildlife.

Youth 1st is the largest non-uniformed organisation supporting youth workers and volunteers working with and for the young people in Fife. It has an established membership consisting of approx. 60 youth clubs, groups and organisations from throughout Fife. Most of the member groups are organised and run by volunteers.
