Recently, young people have played a huge part in raising awareness of the urgent need to tackle the climate emergency and we want YOU to lead the way on action in Fife.
You don’t need to be a climate expert to take part– you just have to want to make a difference, be enthusiastic, and have some exciting ideas.
You will help save the planet (starting with Fife!) while gaining important personal, life and work experience. You will learn new skills, work as a team and make your voice heard!

The Climate Action Fife project will trial a range of climate friendly activities with communities of all ages and backgrounds across Fife It will see individuals, communities, government and business working together to tackle the climate emergency and make Fife a greener and fairer place to live.
Young people are one of the communities that need to be involved to make the project a success.
It’s important that the ideas come from local folk. That’s why we need to hear from young people like you, to help direct our work and create the Fife you want for your community, friends, families and futures.
As well as having a unique experience, this is a great chance to gain experience and skills for employment. You will learn skills to help you land a job in a range of work areas, including climate and sustainability jobs, community work, marketing and event planning and more.
Just as importantly, it is your chance to make your voice heard, make a difference where you live and to do your bit for the environment in Fife.
We want you to form a panel that will set the direction for our work with young people and then help us to deliver your vision. (We have flexibly defined young people as up to age 26).
We want you to develop campaigns and activities to engage people like you, on climate action. We want you to tell us how best to reach young people; tell us the language that will work; how to avoid turn-offs; what social media platforms to use; and identify what climate actions are of most interest to a you and your friends.
We would then like to challenge you to deliver your ideas to engage young Fifers.
All your ideas and everything you create will be included in a toolkit for community groups across Fife (and beyond) who are looking to get young people involved in climate action.
If you would like to be part of this group, please take our climate survey and answer “yes” to question 13 and provide an email address. Depending on the number of requests we get, there may be a further application process. You have until 31st March to register for the group.
If you have any questions, please contact email@example.com.
Even if this isn’t for you, you can still do your bit by sharing this page with a friend or posting online. The more people that get involved, the better for the planet!
Tell us what you think about the climate emergency and young people’s role in tackling it and you will be entered into a draw to win a Bluetooth speaker (5 up for grabs!). The answers from this survey will help guide the work of the Young People’s Climate Action Team.
We want to hear from young people from all over Fife. It doesn’t matter if you are an experienced Climate Striker or someone who is just thinking about climate change for the first time – YOUR OPINION COUNTS! This is your chance to make your voice heard and direct action on climate change in Fife.
